Your name, email, mobile number and emirate; the vehicles you add to your garage; your listings, enquiries and bookings; and payment records returned by our payment provider. We never store your full card number — the payment provider holds it.
To run your account, publish your listings, take and confirm bookings, calculate loyalty, send the notifications you have asked for, and meet our legal obligations in the UAE.
A business you book sees your name, number, vehicle and booking details — it needs them to do the work. A seller you enquire with sees the contact details you submitted. Nobody else on the platform sees your personal data, and row-level security in our database enforces that rather than leaving it to the interface.
Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email) and Google Analytics (how the site is used). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Four things are stored in your browser. A sign-in cookie set by Supabase, which is what keeps you logged in. A cookie remembering whether you chose English or Arabic. Your shop basket, held in your browser's local storage until you check out. And Google Analytics cookies, which count visits and show us which pages are used — Analytics is configured to measure the site, not to build an advertising profile of you.
Only the sign-in and language cookies are needed for the site to work; the analytics ones are not. Your browser can block or clear cookies for this site, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics everywhere at once. Blocking them changes nothing about how CarSouq.ae works for you.
Promotional email is off unless you turn it on. Booking confirmations, payment receipts and service reminders are transactional and are sent regardless, though you can control reminders in your settings.
We keep bookings, payments and invoices for as long as UAE record-keeping requires. Suspending or cancelling an account does not erase this history.
Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@carsouq.ae and we will respond within 30 days.
